INTRODUCTION

Suppose we went to a football game for the first time. Instead of watching the game, what if we just watched a few, very select, people in the crowd and the stands? We might then come away with an incomplete idea of what we thought the sport was about. The sometimes crazy antics of some fans, throwing beer, yelling obscenities, and disrespecting families; clouds the image, idea and understanding of the sport. To make matters worse there are other things, terrible things, that also have nothing to do with the game of football, but mostly have to do with the extremist fans enthusiasms that actually taint the sport. These are the things, such as, when fans overturn cars, set fires, break windows, and sometimes even kill other people. Coincidentally the same tainting occurs to the concept of faith and the sometime crazy antics of the religious faithful, as we will see in an upcoming chapter. Now, however, returning to our first time viewers of football, if they were to say to themselves, “There has to be more to it than this,” then their healthy skepticism may lead to a reward. A football game can be enjoyable, but for those extremist in sports or religion, is there any hope?

Most of the time being a skeptic isn’t fun, yet in these troubled times, it is often necessary. It can mean going against the grain of main stream thinking to look for truth. This can be rough on anyone because some truths are not so pleasant. We are all inundated with news reports telling us about problems with our systems of education, health, government, law enforcement, commerce, immigration and sorts of other corruptions. This all occurs in a world where we supposedly already have rules in place to protect us.

Yes we have rules in place. If we put this idea in perspective we might gain some insight. Picture a world where there are no limits on behavior. Let’s say one of your neighbors decides he wants to raise killer bees in his backyard. Or consider the self made chemical expert that wants to experiment with explosives or chemical materials in the apartment next to yours. I believe most of us would agree that a certain amount of control is necessary, and even welcomed in our lives. Perhaps you might even agree that we should have a little more enforcement of some of these controls, based on all that corruption we hear about. Civilization requires rules in order to exist and prosper.

Religious faith has often been said to be a key reason that civilization began to progress. It can be argued that our country’s faith was, at one time, helpful to us in this regard. Helping to establish basic codes which led to the, standards, statues, and laws our founders set in motion back in 1776. These basic Moral codes grew out of Christian ideals and helped secure our freedoms.[1] However, for a long time now I have witnessed our country’s standards, laws and freedoms being increasingly manipulated to the point that these original ideals have been eroding for decades. To make things worse religion, as a whole, has been complicit in these changes.[2]

It all to often seems that our newer ideals and lifestyles very often still retain the Christian label despite their departure from the values. Thus tainting the old, seemingly lost, idea of what it is to be Christian. We have witnessed many changes taking place over the last several decades. Restrictions removed, protections taken away and laws changed to make illegal actions legal, things such as these are behind a good number of those news reports about many of our problems. Remember those problems with education, health care, government, and the other issues I mentioned above? Our rules and laws have been altered by inside and outside forces well beyond a reasonable limit. If the pattern continues the challenges for future generations, who stand for justice, may be insurmountable.

Who is it that is structuring our lives seemingly without our consent? In trying to make sense of things analogies sometimes come in handy. As I considered what has been happening around us an interesting comparison struck me. It came in the form of an old movie called ‘THEY LIVE.’[3] Perhaps others who have watched this movie have had similar thoughts to the ones I am about to present.

In this movie, aliens, whom of course no one could see, were invading the earth and causing these problems. Actually one could see them if they had a pair of special glasses. I feel that, in a way, one has to wear a pair of these special glasses to make sense of what has been happening to us. We need to look more deeply at what is going on to make sense of it. So with this in mind I would like to give you this Special Set of Glasses, figuratively, for you to view our surroundings. I will try, within the bindings of this book, to convince you that THEY really do exist and are here walking among us. The one condition I ask, is that you wear the special glasses; that is, keep an open mind. In the movie the main character has a heck of a time trying to convince his friend that he should wear the special glasses. I hope you’re not that hard to convince.

Unfortunately, it isn’t always easy to handle the truth. Yet, the alternative is to substitute our “Special Glasses” for a set of rose color glasses, which help us to pretend everything is beautiful and no one is taking excessive advantage of anyone. Than there are those who do not want to upset the cart, so they deny there is a problem. I believe that too many of us have done these things for far too long. While at times I am tempted, my fear of the consequences prevents me from doing so now. Believe me, I wish I could have written the rose colored story the majority of us wish for here. Perhaps if we don our hypothetical “Special Glasses” we can still give this story a happy ending.

While it is not necessary for the reader of this book to have seen the movie THEY LIVE I would like to encourage you to do so, but be mindful as it does have some adult content. I understand that viewing the movie may not always be possible, so I offer a brief review of the movies basic premise, in order to construct a frame of understanding for you. In the movie, aliens from another planet are subtly taking over the earth. What is more, they have been doing this right in front of everyone and for some time. Yet, few people are even aware that their plans are in place. THEY are able to broadcast a signal, which controls how humans see them. The broadcast signal also includes subliminal messages which aid in the control of our populations. Anyone looking at them would see them as if they where a regular human being and also receive hidden suggestions on how to behave. The aliens have allowed a small number of humans to work for them because they needed help to control the rest of our population. It seems THEY first had to infiltrate the main sources of political power all over the world. THEY were able to subvert our social elite, using them to control the media and government leaders. The bulk of the elite lacked the moral fortitude to resist. They, instead, opted for self-preservation of their money, power, and life. With this accomplished the aliens were able to control the masses. Basically, most of our social elite sold out the rest of mankind. The story suggests that by controlling the elite, THEY were able to control the media, governmental leaders, law enforcement, military personnel and thereby most of us. Does any of this sound familiar? Fortunately, there were also a few decent people who figured out that the aliens were here on earth. These people had devised special glasses, but only a few, which allowed humans to see the aliens for what THEY really were, and THEY were not pretty. These citizens had also figured out that these beings were not working in mankind’s best interest, but for their own self-interest. The heroes of the story needed to find a way to disrupt the broadcast signal so that the people of earth could see these aliens even if they didn’t have the special glasses. The idea was that if every one could know THEM for what THEY really were, the people of earth would start to fight for their freedom.

Of course this is just a story, right? While the likely hood of aliens being involved in taking over the world seems remote, I still believe the story has some merit in making sense of certain events happening today. Is it possible that a group of well-organized elites could be using a similar script to reach similar ends? If so they most certainly would need our help. Perhaps we will not have to look far to find THEM?

A fellow worker of mine once told me something that gave me some cause for concern. One morning shortly after we arrived at work and were preparing for the day’s activities, he said to me. “Can you imagine there are people out there, who, just like us, got up this morning, but instead of thinking about who they are going out to help first, they think about which house they are going out to rob first”. While I had thought about this before, somehow hearing someone else express this made it feel more real. The concern I had was further amplified by a frightening idea that came to me. If there are people who plan their days on doing harm to others on this small scale, what is the probability there are those who plan their days around much larger forms of deceit? I am speaking of forms of deceits, which involve hundreds, thousands, millions or even billions of people at a time. If you don’t believe plans of this scale could exist, I ask you to keep an open mind as you read on.

I understand that our world is a very complicated place. So please allow me this disclaimer of sorts. I do not claim that all of the ideas presented here are complete and final. It must be noted that as sovereign citizens we do not always have all the facts surrounding events to make proper conclusions as to what has happened, let alone proper decisions in coming to solutions. As humans we understand there are variables, which are constantly changing our problems, and thus, our solutions to these problems.

If THEY really existed would it be possible for us to know it? Would they let us know their plans? Surprisingly the answer to both of these questions is YES. This is because those mysterious conspiracy stories really are not so mysterious. In fact, for the most part, many of us are working with and/or for them, so we have to know at least part of the plan. In fact those Conspiracy Theories make for good cover and sometimes end up allowing some of us to blame others for our short comings on those occasions that we knowingly participate in these plans. Those that participate tell themselves that they really are not the principle players in the game and since they really do not understand the ultimate goals they feel no guilt. Some of you will not understand this, as you may not even be aware of any part of their schemes. Many, perhaps most of us, are only occasionally involved in the schemes and at that only on a peripheral basis and have not put all the pieces together yet. Finally some of you are actively involved and have schemes, either in progress or on the drawing board which will affect mankind negatively. These people are the ones we like to call ‘THEY.’ Of course we are not privy to THEIR entire plan, yet THEY, these schemers, cannot carry out any plans of action without taking those actions. For example, if trade agreements, or pension plans, or immigration laws need to be changed we see THEIR lobbyist work to change them. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to understand this. These plans seemingly are all up in front for us to see and we have been able to see the evidence of many of these actions for some time now. These plans often have alternative goals which are not so evident. People just like me have reported on them for a very long time. I personally first started to hear these so called conspiracy stories of covert plans back in the 1970’s. Most of these stories should be more accurately described as plans of fraud and corruption. Since then I have watched many parts of those stories mature into factual actions and scandals. Many other parts of these plans are well underway and are not being resisted. Of course we are consoled by the Media that those people telling some of these conspiracy stories are crazy, and that we shouldn’t pay attention to any of them. In other words, don’t worry; our government will take care of us. Unfortunately for us the government has not been doing their job. While we don’t have all the pieces to THEIR plan we have seen a great deal of them already put in to play, at least, enough of those pieces so that we can draw some of them together. The following are some basic conclusions most of us can agree upon as a starting point for what we do know:

1. We know that the number of people in control of the main stream media has shrunk considerably over the last several years.[4]
2. We recognize that some, if not most of our news, is filtered through people who know where their bread is buttered. That is to say, they realize that news, which may anger a sponsor or donor, would be better glossed over, minimized or even avoided completely.
3. We know that our Government is set up on a system that allows campaign contributions.[5]
4. We know that these contributions, for a large part, get spent on the media. (Bread and butter).
5. We know that the typical citizen contributes very little money toward political candidates.
6. We know that under the current system you get what you give.
7. We know that with this system the people who contribute monetarily will get the favors.
8. We know that the people who contribute will help write the policies and those who do not contribute will end up paying the lions share of the taxes.
9. We know that scandals will appear now and again costing taxpayers trillions. (Savings and Loan, Corporate Fraud, Mortgage Fraud, 12 Billion Dollars of IRAQ Aid missing, 2.3 Trillion Dollars of military industrial funds unaccounted for, the Wall Street bailout plan, and more to come.)[6]10. We know that the campaign finance system is corrupt, for Senators and Congressmen have admitted it individually, but fail to do so collectively.[7]
11. We know that the cost of major political campaigns prohibit the entry of common citizens into the fray.
12. We know that Democrats and Republicans put this system in place.
13. We know that voting for Democrats and Republicans has not fixed the problem. (Though almost every election, like clock work, they promise to fix it, their measures always turn out to be impudent)
14. We know they have not fixed it, because it is not in their best interest. (Money for their war chest and their next job opportunity -that is lobbyist)15. We know that the current plan for globalization is flawed. (One of its creators has come forward to admit it) [8]
16. We know NAFTA does not appear to benefit the majority of people, not only in this country, but in Mexico and Canada as well. (Most of the Benefits seem go to wealthy investors and large business, but it’s not so rosy for the majority of citizens)[9]
17. We know that the North American Union is the next step.(They say we have no say in this)[10]
18. We know that some religions have supported business beyond reason and to the detriment of the nation, effectively aiding in the changes now underway. (Namely through the lowering of wages via support for illegal immigration, and the pillaging of social programs by businesses and illegal foreign nationals and even the lowering of morals through their acceptance of those who openly break the laws.)
19. We know that we are the largest debtor nation in the history of the world.[11]
20. We know some corporate leaders cannot be trusted, just how many, we are not sure, but we already have some examples. (Enron, World Com -now called MCI, AIG and the many Excessive Corporate CEO compensations)[12]

I am sure you can think of a few more things that we know, but for now lets just say these are enough to allow me the license to proceed with my analysis despite the things we do not know. If a few of the points above don’t make sense to you now I hope they will by the time you finish this book.

Regarding the possible solutions offered in this book, I hope they can contribute to solutions already underway. One other point, I will be the first to tell you, these ideas are not new, but come from many concerned citizens. I acknowledge that over my lifetime, a great multitude of people have shown me many things. I have merely assembled some of these things in a fashion that makes sense to me. I feel that if we are honest about it, there is seldom anything original in most of our ideas. We are the culmination of those that have come before and to not give any credit to these sources is selfish and vain. These ideas were, and are, offered in the hope that they will benefit the greatest number of us. Oddly enough when things benefit the masses they also end up benefiting, guess who, our friends we need the glasses to see. However, this is the way it should be, everyone benefits not just a few.

Now the United States, despite all the past scandals, is still a great nation and like a large corporation does not fade from sight over night. Just as ENRON and World Com/MCI are still with us, despite the pillaging and mismanagement they experienced, our country still goes on.[13] The damages being done to our nation, both past and present, is a great impairment for what could have been done, had such travesty not occurred. If we could add together all of the reported occurrences of fraud, that we have been subjected to over the last hundred years, what might we have had today? That is if we had that money to spend. Perhaps we could have used the money to extend our educational system to include college. We may have been able to provide a structural system of hospitals to be used as common property for the good of all. Possibly we would never have had an income tax, because we didn’t a hundred years ago. It might have been likely that all of this and more were possible. Instead, these lost funds went to fatten the bank accounts of certain elite perpetrators. Yet not all elite are bad, so if my anger seems to come out, it is against those who have and still do continue to damage our nation. They are the culprits.

So as you read though the following pages keep an open mind, and where it is appropriate, when you see the word ‘they’ substitute the connotation for THEY, that I told you about earlier. You know the THEY LIVE characters. I will continue to color code a few of them for you as a reminder. Viewing the ideas this way puts a face on those mysterious forces that we have to contend with. I hope it will add a little humor to an otherwise depressing topic. It is likely, that if you believe any part of these so called conspiracy stories, as THEY like to call them, you will be labeled as “Paranoid” and your credibility will be questioned. While we all may be a little bit crazy, after all we put up with THEM; I would prefer to call myself responsible.
